Right from the start of Snap! you could communicate with your users/audience using the Say-or Think-Block for displaying data as well as using the Ask-Block for getting data from users. More option were coming with the Write-Block, Costume-from-text-Block. However you only have the option to display data for reading on the scene and receiving data by manually typing into a up-popping input field.

Now with the new block "recognize speech" the speech library give you the option to communicate with your users/audience in a more advanced way: by voice. Using the speak-block you can avoid the say bubbles on the scene. Using the recognize-speech-block to get rid off popping-up ask-blocks.

In this session you will get some inspirations how your application could be like using the speech library.
