Eckart Modrow is an honorary Professor for the Didactics of Computer Science at the University of Göttingen. He is particularly interested in the development of concepts and materials that promote independent and creative learning. He has been dealing with graphic programming languages ​​for a long time.

Eckart Modrow studied physics, then became a high school teacher of physics, mathematics and computer science. He was particularly involved in training for CS teachers and is the author of numerous books.

The talk will show how independent work in programming courses can be enabled and encouraged. This is followed by examples from the lecture "Programming for Non Computer Scientists".
